E-pub/Mobi File Creation
E-pub is the industry standard format preferred by most retailers, except for Amazon, which prefers Mobi files. We can prepare both types of files for you, with or without customization. Without customization will give you an E-pub file you can use at Barnes & Noble, Kobo and Apple. Customization will give you that same file with live links to your other books on each platform, which makes it easier for readers to buy your other books direct from their devices.

Formatted Layout for CreateSpace (Print on Demand via Amazon)
Preparing print-ready files for on-demand printing requires some know-how that we can provide. Your book will be laid out in the industry-leading InDesign software and outputted in PDF format, ready for upload to CreateSpace.
CreateSpace Layout: $150 for first 75,000 words/$20 for each additional 10,000 words
CreateSpace Cover Preparation: $150 if the cover was done by one of our designers/$175 if the cover was generated elsewhere.

Cover Design
Our team of world-class graphic designers stands ready to help you find the perfect cover for your book. Appealing to online audiences requires that a cover "pop" on the screen, and our designers know just how to make that happen. Our fee structure depends on the amount of research and consultation required. If an author comes to us and says, "I want exactly this," he or she will be looking at the lower end of the scale. If an author has no idea what he or she wants, the charge will be higher. Contact formatting@marieforce.com to determine the price in advance.

Our turnaround time varies, but is often between 5 and 7 business days for ebook formatting from the time we have all the relevant materials to complete your job. CreateSpace layout and cover design is between 10 and 15 business days.
Submission: When you submit your work order to the Formatting Fairies, please include:
- The completed work order
- Your cover file - a high resolution .jpg file is preferred
- A Word document with your book title, copyright (click on the link to read about what your copyright statement should include), manuscript, about the author (optional), other books by ____ (optional)
- If you chose to to customize for each retailer, please submit a separate Word file with purchase links for your books broken down by retailer.
